Meet Fortytwo's HR Director: Caroline Woldbæk

ree

Fortytwo is growing again, and we are proud to welcome Caroline Woldbæk to the team. With a background that bridges technology and people, Caroline brings experience from both TietoEVRY and Boston Consulting Group (BCG)—and a passion for helping organizations and individuals grow. Her blend of IT expertise and human insight strengthens Fortytwo’s culture and capacity as the company continues to expand across the Nordics.

Why Fortytwo?

For Caroline, joining Fortytwo felt natural. “I’ve worked with Robert and Remi before and really like and respect them,” she says. “Combined with Fortytwo’s expertise in such an exciting space, it felt like a great opportunity. I believe in the leadership and the mission. I’m very grateful to be part of this company at such an exciting stage in its journey.”

With years of experience in both IT and people development, she immediately recognized Fortytwo’s mix of technical excellence and human focus. “It’s rare to find a place where expertise, curiosity, and culture are so clearly aligned,” she adds.

What Caroline Brings to the Table

Caroline brings best practices from more than six years in IT at TietoEVRY and three years in BCG’s People function. That combination gives her a rare dual perspective: she understands how systems and processes work—and how people work. Her experience in IT project environments has taught her how to translate between the technical and the human, ensuring that change happens smoothly and sustainably.

Beyond her professional background, Caroline is driven by genuine curiosity and a collaborative mindset. She thrives when she can help things move forward, connect people across disciplines, and build momentum in teams. “I’ve always been fascinated by how culture and structure influence performance,” she says. “When those two align, things start to flow.”

Where She Has Been

At TietoEVRY, Caroline worked in an environment where technology meets business transformation. There she gained experience in IT operations, collaboration platforms, and customer-focused delivery. Her time at BCG deepened her understanding of leadership development, people strategy, and organizational dynamics. “Both places were great learning environments,” she says. “I was surrounded by talented people and got to see how technology and human insight come together to create value.”

That combination—technical grounding from TietoEVRY and people expertise from BCG—makes her especially well-equipped for a company like Fortytwo, where growth depends on both competence density and culture.

What Sets Her Apart

When asked what she can do that no one else can, Caroline answers with characteristic humility: “That’s a great question—I honestly don’t know.” But what stands out is her ability to see people and processes as part of one system. She bridges the analytical and the relational, combining structured problem-solving with empathy and perspective. In practice, that means she can help teams work better together, ensure communication flows, and build a culture where learning and innovation go hand in hand.

One Buzzword She’d Erase

If Caroline could retire one buzzword from the IT world, it would be digital transformation. “It’s become a catch-all phrase that sometimes gets used even when a company just starts using Microsoft Teams,” she says with a smile. “Erasing it forever might be a bit harsh, but it’s often misused.”

For her, transformation means something deeper than technology—it’s about behavior, mindset, and creating structures that allow people and systems to evolve together.

We’re excited to have Caroline on board. With her background, curiosity, and collaborative energy, she represents exactly what Fortytwo values most: clear thinking, competence, and a human approach to building the future.
