Meet Fortytwo's Newest Employee: Harri Jaakkonen!

Fortytwo is growing, and our latest addition is Harri Jaakkonen, joining us to lead the way in Finland and marking a new chapter of expansion for our company. With his passion for security and his presence as an active communicator on LinkedIn, Harri strengthens the Fortytwo team with both expertise and voice.

Why Fortytwo?

What he brings to the team

Harri brings nearly three decades of experience and an endless passion for security across the IT landscape. He is skilled at translating complex risks into clear, actionable solutions and at building systems that are secure by design and resilient in operation. His expertise spans Azure cloud engineering, Zero Trust security architecture, automation, governance, and compliance. Just as important, he emphasizes collaboration—mentoring engineers, creating reusable playbooks, and raising the security baseline through enablement.

Where he has been

Harri has worked across telecom, finance, insurance, defence, and the public sector—always in environments where reliability and security are essential. He has served as engineer, architect, and leader, with experience ranging from hands-on implementation to strategy and governance. Most recently, he led Nordic security teams, delivering large-scale Azure security programmes, identity modernisation, endpoint protection, SIEM/SOAR operations, and standardised security baselines across multi-cloud environments. He has collaborated closely with Microsoft, contributed to product best practices, and built scalable frameworks for distributed teams across borders.

What sets him apart

Harri doesn’t believe in claiming uniqueness for its own sake. “What sets me apart is consistency and breadth: I deliver at a high standard across the board, every time,” he says. He combines technical depth with a strategic mindset, aligning security with business outcomes. As a Microsoft Security MVP, he actively contributes to the community, mentors others, and seamlessly integrates security into delivery. One buzzword to erase

“If I could erase one buzzword, it would be ‘hacker’ as a blanket term,” he notes. “It lumps adversaries and ethical professionals together. We should be precise—red, blue, and purple teamers.”
