Data Processing Agreement (DPA)
A DPA is the contractual basis for ensuring that personal data is processed in compliance with GDPR, and sets a clear framework for how the data processor can process personal data.
If a business who is data controller ( e.g. you as a customer), uses other businesses (e.g. Amesto Fortytwo) to conduct all or some parts of the processing of personal information, or uses another uses another business cloud solution to store or manage personal data, the business processing the data on behalf of the controller is defined as a data processor and a Data Processing Agreement is required.
